Brandywine Realty Trust Breaks Ground on FMC Tower at Cira Centre® South

The final phase of Brandywine Realty Trust's 2.7 million square foot mixed-use development along the western bank of the Schuylkill River broke ground in May. Known as the FMC Tower at Cira Centre® South, the LEED Silver certified building is located adjacent to Philadelphia's most robust transportation hub, and innovative mix of commercial, residential and retail space.

New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority approves $5M grant program to lure more airlines to Atlantic City International Airport

New Jersey state officials have unveiled a $5 million grant program to lure more airlines to Atlantic City International Airport, following the recent launch of service at the facility by United Airlines. United's service connects Atlantic City to Chicago and Houston, the airline's two largest U.S. hubs. The service represents a major bump for the resort town's efforts boosts its tourism profile.

Leaders in biofuels, bio-based products and renewable chemicals were in Philadelphia May 12 – 15 for the BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. DuPont executive Ellen Kullman was presented with an award for her leadership at DuPont, which has made significant progress in commercializing bio-based polymers, enzymes and advanced biofuels. The conference highlighted Greater Philadelphia's growing chemical hub, the importance for generating green jobs, making greener products and cleaner processes all aimed at building a bio-based economy.
