More Than an Avenue of the Arts

Philadelphia has much more than just one avenue of the arts. Because while many young, starving artists have understood the value of living in Philadelphia rather than New York, many are sticking around as they continue to grow and succeed as artists. Affordable rent and abundance of studio space has long attracted artists who were unable or unwilling to afford the cost of living in New York City. In the past couple of months alone, several new art spaces have popped up in Philadelphia, including Bobos on 9th, the Crane Arts Building, and Space 1026. Those in Philadelphia's art community are working hard to introduce the burgeoning art scene to art-world heavy hitters in other parts of the world.
