The Greater Philadelphia region was recognized by Expansion Management magazine for its stellar transportation and logistics infrastructure. Specifically, the magazine awarded the following designations:

• The entire region was in the top ten for "Best Transportation & Warehousing Industry";
• The Mercer county area was noted for having the "Best Transportation & Warehousing Work Force";
• The Greater Philadelphia region had the 3rd Best Railroad Service in the country;
• The region was listed as one of the 5 Star Logistics Metros, considered to be among the elite logistics cities, and specifically in the 93rd percentile;
• The Greater Philadelphia region has the 4th Best Waterborne Commerce in the U.S.;
• New Jersey was among the Top 5 states for Lowest Fuel Taxes and Fees; and
• The region as a whole was in the Top 10 for Best Air Cargo.
