County Breakfast Series Kicks Off in Camden County, NJ
The fourth annual County Breakfast Series kicked off this fall with a focus on Southern New Jersey. This series will visit eight counties throughout Greater Philadelphia to highlight the region's significant economic progress. This first breakfast was held in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey. David Broadbent, Vice President, Operations & Global Sustainment, Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors and William P. Loftus, President & CEO, Gestalt, LLC participated in an informal, candid interview about their experience as employers in the region, which was moderated by WHYY's Tracey Matisak. Both panelists commented on the Greater Philadelphia region's human capital assets and how easily they can find talented workers with the appropriate technical skills. The discussion was then followed by a question and answer session with the audience. Laura Wallick, Regional Director - South, Business and Community Development, NJ Economic Development Authority, also highlighted the great work and recent accomplishments of the NJEDA. Thomas G. Morr, President of Select Greater Philadelphia, gave an overview of Select's accomplishments and future plans.
Each breakfast in the series will include interviews with CEOs in that county, followed by a question and answer session with the audience. Throughout the series, diverse CEOs representing a variety of industries, company sizes and locales will discuss topics such as corporate history, commitment to Greater Philadelphia, and their organization's regional economic impact. In addition, partnering organizations and local officials will address recent economic and public policy issues within the county and how they tie in to the overall progress of our region.
