Local Lockheed Operation Gains Military Contract

Meanwhile, Lockheed Martin recently announced a new contract for its Cherry Hill operations. The $4.9 million contract will support Lockheed's work to build a computer that works like a human brain as it identifies objects in military surveillance photos. It will make the job of military analysts much easier and more effective as they size up potential risks and plan strategies. The Lockheed computer will allow the military analysts to do their job more than 100 times faster than they can now. The Lockheed team working on this project is collaborating with the University of Pennsylvania and others.
