US Airways Appoints New Local Leaders to Improve Service
In an effort to improve its service and operations at Philadelphia International Airport, US Airways has appointed new veterans from other airlines to do just that. Suzanne Boda was appointed senior vice president, East Coast, international and cargo operations. As such, Boda will be the highest-ranking executive the airline has ever based in Philadelphia. Boda comes from Northwest Airlines where she has been for 24 years, most recently as vice president of in-flight services. Robert Ciminelli will be the vice president of Philadelphia operations. He comes to Philadelphia from American Airlines' operations at LaGuardia Airport and its Dallas/Fort Worth hub. View the full press release here.
Flights to China in 2009
The U.S. Department of Transportation announced that daily flights from Philadelphia to China will begin in 2009. US Airways will inaugurate the U.S.-China service, which was initiated to open up new opportunities between the two countries. Plans are to double the number of daily flights over the next five years.
