Local CEOs of Smaller Companies Beat Nationwide Salaries

According to a recent survey by Salary.com, those leading a business with 500 or fewer employees in the Greater Philadelphia region receive higher cash compensation on average than those nationwide. The study found the nationwide median to be $233,500 last year. CEOs of smaller companies in Delaware made a median salary of $259,000, while those in New Jersey were next with $249,359 and those in Pennsylvania had a median of $240,000.
