Philadelphia County: BlackRock considering move to University City

Giant investment management firm BlackRock Inc. is considering moving their operations to Cira South, a building planned for Philadelphia’s University City section. The move would bring an estimated 800 employees to the building, and establish the Cira Centre complex, which already houses several high-profile money management firms, as a financial services hub.

BlackRock is considering several sites throughout the region; its lease at its current site in Plainsboro, NJ, expires in 2011.
