SELECT GREATER PHILADELPHIA'S INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS MEDIA TOUR ATTRACTS KEEN FOREIGN INTEREST

Select Greater Philadelphia hosted a comprehensive 4-day International Logistics Media tour earlier this month featuring the region's robust logistics industry encompassing land, sea and sky and its significant impact on global trade. The tour included some of the region's top business leaders and facilities from the area's port, rail, air, warehousing and trucking logistics organizations throughout Northern Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New Jersey.

The tour helped fill important information gaps about the region's logistics industry to a number of participating journalists spanning the globe from countries including United Kingdom, South Africa, South Korea, Brazil, Germany and Australia. As a result, a number of foreign stories are due to appear within the next several months featuring the many positive learnings during the press tour.

The journalists were most impressed with the region's three major ports, interstate highways, a world-class international airport, and a plentiful supply of distribution and warehouse facilities. What's also impressive is the region's position as the center of the Northeast Corridor, the largest concentration of people and buying power anywhere in the United States. With expanding port and rail facilities on the horizon, the Greater Philadelphia region is poised for tremendous growth.
