Urban Outfitters to Expand at Navy Yard
Urban Outfitters will acquire and redevelop two Navy Yard buildings totaling
more than 100,000 square feet, investing about $30 million in the expansion.
This transaction will allow Urban Outfitters to expand their operations—currently
housed in six Navy Yard buildings—and to add an additional 1,000 permanent employees
at The Navy Yard over the next three years in addition to construction positions. The
company currently has 1,200 permanent employees at its corporate headquarters

CHOP
and VIRTUA form partnership
The
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Virtua, South
Jersey's largest healthcare provider, have developed a partnership
that will provide pediatric services at Virtua's facilities in Mount
Holly and Voorhees, New Jersey. As part of the partnership,
CHOP-employed physicians will provide care in Virtua's inpatient
pediatric units and its pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) as well
as providing pediatric emergency care in its emergency
departments.

Port of Philadelphia's 2010 Cargo Statistics Show Big Gains
A recovering national economy, in conjunction with a variety of new business relationships established at the Port of Philadelphia in 2010, has resulted
in a sizable gain in overall tonnage last year compared to 2009 levels. With 3,644,919 metric tons of cargo handled in 2010 compared to the
3,107,067 tons of cargo handled in 2009, overall tonnage at the Port of Philadelphia was up 17% last year, according to officials of the Philadelphia
Regional Port Authority (PRPA).
